SEO Case Study

Typically we don’t do case studies on our student and/or client websites when it comes to Search Engine Optimization and what we are actively doing to promote the website in the Search Engines so I thought that it would be fun to do this with one of our own new websites, RadarDetector.org.

We purchased the domain name RadarDetector.org in August of 2010 with the intention of creating a new website in the radar detector niche that was to be an affiliate website for Radarbusters.com
The domain name RadarDetector.org was first registered by a company in China, but in our research through the […]

Sugarman Speaks at SEO Training SW Class

Joe Sugarman, builder of the BluBlocker Sunglasses empire, was our special guest at our SEO Training SW class in Las Vegas, Nevada in June 2010.
The marketing and advertising legend then came to Phoenix, Arizona to speak to the students of the SEO Training SW 5-day class. Presenting the talk that normally pays him thousands of dollars per appearance, Joe effortlessly created another rendition of his famous “slippery slide.” The audience was helpless and hanging on every word.
Joe Sugarman is the famous advertising copywriter and the best-selling author of the classic cult-like bible, “Triggers.” Joe shared with the class how he […]

Internet Marketing and SEO Meetup Teleseminar

Tonight I hosted our June Teleseminar for our Az SEO and Internet Marketing MeetUp Group with a total of 36 members during the call.
Here is a recap of questions and comments during the event:
Ryan – Surprise Az:
If you could pick one philosophy, approach or mentality that was most helpful in empowering you to make money for yourself, instead of other people, what would that be?
Kelly – Phoenix Az:
1) Say I’m trying to think of a name for my web site/product. Where do you recommend we go to see if the name is being used?
2) I heard Go Daddy is not […]

SEO Training Workshop

The last couple weeks have been very hectic for me and I’m just now catching up after being away from my office.
Two weeks ago I spent the week in Omaha with Netshops, a niche Internet retailer that purchased my RadarBusters network in 2007, discussing the current trends and products in the speed counter measure industry with their staff.
Netshops is listed as 82nd on the Internet Retailer magazine’s top 500 list and in 2007 Inc Magazine named them the nation’s 5th fastest growing retailer in the US.
A large part of Netshops success I feel is due to their focus on niche […]

SEO MasterMind – Teleseminar

Every Successful Internet marketer I know participates in at least one MasterMind!
One of my most memorable comments I recall an associate of mine making during one of my first MasterMind calls was that “Internet years are measured in dog years ” and in order to remain competitive in our online marketplace we need to network with other successful marketers.
Personally I found SEO forums as a big time waster in that there was so much information and debate that I would get caught up in the conversation and that it was hard for me to sift through all the information. […]

My Secret Weapon; SEO Scout

“A quiet technology revolution – one that will radically change the way the Internet works – is likely to catch the world off guard. It involves the “semantic web” – a way of organizing and presenting web content not as documents but items of data that are linked by both meaning and relationship ”
– Tom Lube, Harvard Business Review, February 2009
I first heard about the semantic web in a presentation by Michael Marshall in 2004 at a Search Engine Academy Workshop. I have to admit when I first heard Michael explain the semantic web, latent semantic indexing, natural language processing […]
