SEO Seminar Las Vegas – SEO Fundamentals
Part One – SEO Fundamentals Workshop
This past week we had a total of ten students from all over the US and walks of life who attended our Search Engine Academy SW SEO Training Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ira from New Jersey owns a business office furniture store outside of Philadelphia has had a website featuring his products and services. Ira’s goal in attending the workshop was to update his site and get back his page one placement in the search engines that have fell over the past year.
Nicole, who lives in Las Vegas, is a partner in a Search Engine Optimization consulting business. Nichol’s goal in attending the workshop was to sharpen her skills to manage her client’s projects through the outsources her agency uses.
Dan from the Atlanta Georgia area had owned a large and successful home building business that collapsed during the housing industry melt down. Dan related that he was going to build a new and successful business teaching and consulting others in his community on how to utilize the power of local search.
During the first two days of our workshop we focus on having each student establish a strong foundation in Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization and help each of student develop their own “SEO Roadmap to Success” by understanding;
- Keyword Research
- Writing copy for the human reader
- Discovering how to rewrite copy for the search engines
- The proper way to place your content on the Internet for Indexing
- Benchmarking and monitoring your progress
- How to work in ranges of pages
Legionary copywriter and marketer Joe Sugarman was our guest speaker during the second day of the workshop. Joe began his presentation by providing each of our students with a digital copy of his bestselling book “Triggers” and a pair of BluBlocker sunglasses.
Joe began his presentation by emphasizing the importance of marketing and why effective marketing accounts as much as 80% towards the success of a small business owner’s business and how he built several highly successful companies using the power of copywriting in his marketing.
Several of the tips Joe offered during his presentation included;
1- Position yourself as expert in whatever you products or services you sell.
2- Establish trust with your prospective clients
3- Find the emotional “trigger” with your prospective client that will close the sale.
Joe then closed the presentation by speaking about the importance of perseverance and never giving up using as an example a personal experience back from 1966 when he ordered over 250,000 Batman Credit Cards for a mail order campaign only to have the licensing deal fall through at the last moment. Joe related how he persisted and paid back his creditors and how from the basement of his home built up his company to employ over 85 to become on the most successful mail order companies in its time.
Joe then closed his presentation by giving each of our students an autographed Batman Credit card.
At the conclusion of our two day SEO Fundamental Workshop each of our student’s had a clear understanding on how to utilize our 6 point system and how to map out their own SEO and Internet Marketing strategy.
During the next three days of our Advanced SEO and Internet Marketing workshop the students mastered our 6 point system and how to integrate other Internet Marketing strategies including;

- Local Search
- Competitive Analysis
- Pay Per Click Advertising
- Natural Language Processing
- Advanced Keyword Research
- Tools for Market Research, Keyword Research, Competitive Analysis, Analytics, A/B Split Testing
